Why You Struggle in Prayer

This isn’t an extensive teaching blog post. I just wanted to share from my prayer journal. this is what the Lord spoke to me on Christmas. And as I’m sharing this with you in our prayer times in the mornings, it came up in my heart to share the whole prophecy and my teaching outline. i pray it blessed you and I’ll see you in the morning!

Many of my very own people struggle with [prayer] assignments and in their approach to me in prayer. I am love and I welcome you into my space. But many struggle because they don’t know how to approach me in prayer based on my words. Some struggle because they are focused on the wrong thing (the problem), or they just don’t have the time to give me. But many of my people don‘t enter into the rest of my presence because they don’t want to hear what I have to say. Every season requires a yes. And the YES should grow with every season. No matter how much you say YES to me today I will always be pursuing you and your stance in prayer.

Why Are Many Struggling in Prayer?

1. “They don’t know how to approach me BASED ON MY WORDS. Based on what I’ve already said. Based on what we’ve already discussed. If I’ve said it already there’s not room for further discussion. Your words don’t change mine. The right approach matters. Means we need to be speaking the same language. Likemindedness.“ Taking on his thoughts by way of words so you can speak to him intelligently about your nation, his plan, his church, your life...

2. They are focused on the wrong thing. You can pray about a problem and not be problem focused. Your focus governs your values, meditations, and your praying. Faith follows your focus. Focus on your deliverer and your answer, NOT the issue.

3. They are not willing to give time to prayer. Prayer takes time. Not a segment, but a lifestyle of watching in thenSpirit. Ask yourself, why am I Unavailable to pray?

4. “They don’t want to hear what I have to say. Your spirit is bearing witness to your answer. And the fear of me giving voice to what you already know to be true, causes you to run from me as Adam did in the beginning.“ Every season requires a NEW yes. So then yes means something different in every SEASON. SO NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU SAY yes to me today, I will always be pursuing you and your stance in prayer. “I am always seeking.”

Please note that I’ve copied this right out of my prayer journal. I trust it blesses you and helps you follow along a but more with me as I teach in the mornings.
